Joan in the Cold

This cold weather had me thinking about this particular shoot. It was a Joan of Arc inspired shoot. I first spent 2 hours cutting Platinum Body Tape into triangles and squares. This was the armor. This shot was planned months in advance so there was no way of telling how cold it was going to be.

The model was so great and had such a good attitude about the whole thing. She reignited my excitement for the theme. My number one choice for this shoot was Miss Briana Langston. I have seen her grow as a model and no one bring expression and drama like she does. This was no ordinary shoot, and I couldn't just use anyone. But Briana knocked it out of the park. Below is her instagram handle. Take a look at the brilliance she exemplifies.

It took about another 2 hours to get all the tape pasted on in a design of the armor. Then the make up artist was none other then the absolutely accomplished Diane Razo. Who can be found by her handle:

Once all the starts aligned, we headed out doors to take the photos. You can't tell in this image but poor Briana was freezing. We had to keep the shooting in small increments so we can cover her up.

Briana was more of a trooper than I was, and she did not complain once! She was all for continuing to shoot, but when I saw the red in her skin, I couldn't keep her out. I would have feld just awful if she got sick on my account. Which she didn't.

But the images came out just as I imagined. High fashion and dreamy. I could not thank this crew enough. It was an interesting memory that popped in my head. and it was all thanks to the cold. lol
