Aim to be Mer-mazing
My first exposure to mermaids was in the 1953 Disney flick “Peter Pan".” How I marveled at the sheer beauty of the creations. I think I was more interested in the idea that they can breath under water. Wouldn’t that be a useful ability to have?
I got the pleasure of meeting Miss Lenisa a few years ago. Very incredible woman, she is the owner and operator of a Mermaid School. Very amazing stuff here, so much to compliment on all this. Not only does she run her own successful Company, she teaches and inspires the art of mermaid swimming. There is, indeed, a great business in Mermaid swimmers for events and functions, and lets not forget to mention the mermaid products that are created to support this aspiration. I, personally, would love the experience of learning to swim with a fin. I imagine my fin would be in a shade of purple. :) Although I don’t think I’m completely on board with the sea shell top. I’m way to shy for that. haha. Mermaids can wear T-shirts, right???
Anywho, the biggest thing I noticed about Lenisa is that she always camera ready, and always smiling. Probably the most optimistic person I have ever met. Her smile and positive outlook on life is very contagious and has definitely rubbed off on me, as well as anyone who has attended her school. For anyone who is curious what it takes to be a mermaid should definiately give her school a try. I, personally, would be interested in learning any techniques on how to hold my breath for long amounts of time under water.
Aside from inspiring the future of Mermaid professions, she also is one of the many talented instructors at Bella Modeling school. Which I can go on an on about, but thats another day. Here are some of the pictures from our shoot. This day was as perfect as perfect can be. The sun was out with a nice breeze and the locations was very appropriate. I had to take out the tears in her eyes from the laughing that ensued. I truly am a sucker for blue cloudy skies. I admit, I am guilty of adding clouds in an image if the sky lacks pizzazz, but that was not the case this time around. I enjoyed this shoot, and the delightful professional that occupies my composition. I love the outcome and I will forever remember the first time I got to photograph a Mermaid.
